2027 Funding Priorities
The Finnup Foundation is pleased to announce its funding priorities for the 2027 grant cycle. The Foundation will focus its grantmaking on local socioeconomic initiatives that directly support the most vulnerable members of our community.
For the 2027 grant cycle, priority consideration will be given to projects and programs serving residents of Finney County in the following areas:
Basic Needs: Initiatives addressing food insecurity, homelessness, general care, personal safety, and other essential needs of vulnerable individuals and families.
Youth Education: Programs that enhance educational opportunities, promote academic achievement, and support the educational needs of children and young people.
Youth Development: Initiatives that foster personal growth, well-being, and positive development among children and youth.
The Foundation recognizes and appreciates the important work of organizations addressing land and water conservation, rural professional recruitment, medical care, legal services, and college and university recruitment. While these initiatives make valuable contributions to our region, the Foundation has chosen to concentrate its available resources on the funding priorities outlined above rather than expand into additional areas for the 2027 grant cycle.
Organizations that received a Finnup Foundation grant in either 2025 or 2026 are welcome to submit a grant request for 2027, even if their proposed project falls outside the stated funding priorities.
Organizations that did not receive a grant during either of those two cycles should ensure their proposed projects align with the Foundation's 2027 funding priorities before submitting an application.
The Foundation encourages prospective applicants to carefully review these guidelines when considering a grant request.
The Finnup Foundation values the dedication and contributions of the many organizations working to strengthen our community and appreciates their continued commitment to improving the lives of those they serve.
